What Causes Pain In Neck Radiating Towards Shoulders While Having Cervical Plates?

My neck has been progressively getting worse. Really painful, radiates down toward shoulders. This has been going on, gradually getting worse for a few months. I have Fibromyalsia, and I also have scoliosis which has required fusion of almost my entire spine and I have a plate in my neck as well. Not sure if I should see neurologist or not???

dear friend
radiating pains usually originate from nerve roots while fibromyalgia is a generalized widespread pain.
since you do have issues with your spine it is likely you may be having nerve root issues namely radiculopathy

it is advisable to get it evaluated by a neurologist and also investigated so the a proper line of treatment can be formulated
