What Causes Pain In Ribs In A Patient With Guillain-Barré Syndrome?

I currently have active GBS for a second time and am under a drs care. The last two weeks I have been having pain in my ribs that feel like a snake is constricting me. This happened with my first time of GBS as well. I also have Celiac disease and Raynaud s Phenomenon.

Guillain-Barré syndrome involves the peripheral nerves of the body.
The bodys' auto-immune system attacks the peripheral nerves.
Depending on which type of nerves are affected and which nerves are affected, the symptoms can vary.

If a sensory nerve is affected, it can cause the patient to sense pain.

If a motor nerve (Those carrying signals to muscles) is affected, the particular muscle might be paralyzed.

The Celiac disease and Renaud's phenomenon have nothing to do with your chest pain. Chest pain is a recognised symptom of Guillain-Barré syndrome.

It is due to the pain that you might be feeling constricted. Please keep in mind that if you feel too breathless, please ask for assistance. It might need immediate attention.
