What Causes Pain In Right Arm Radiating Towards Shoulder?

I have been having pain when my right arm is raised to shoulder level. Not during the raising, but after the arm is raised and is left there for any amount of time, such as when driving and they re at 10&2 on the wheel. The pain is located on the upper part of my shoulder, above the clavicle midway between the neck and the shoulder itself. There is also occasional numbness and tingling in my right ring and pinkie finger.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

From your symptoms, it seems that you are having some problems in your shoulder joint(Bursitis/Tendonitis/Frozen shoulder).

I advise you to get these investigations done-
X-ray shoulder joint- ap,lat view
X-ray cervical area- ap,lat view
MRI shoulder joint.

Review these reports with your orthopedician.
Physiotherapy would be helpful in the long run.
Hot fomentation would be beneficial.
Meanwhile, you can have a joint mobilizer like glucosamine
and a nerve supplement.

Avoid lifting heavy weights and massaging.

Take care.
