What Causes Pain In Shoulder Radiating To Back While Breathing?

My mom is experiencing pain in her top left shoulder/back and its spread to now hurt her breathing and her back...she also has problems with blood pressure. She is 55. Do you think she should be concerned? She went to a chiropractor and they told her it was a sprain but it seams to get more severe each day.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that she might be having early degenerative changes in her shoulder producing frozen shoulder.
As she is having blood pressure problem and having this type of pain, any cardiac problem should be ruled out.
Go for EKG for having any coronary problem.
Go for x-ray shoulder joint and cervical spines for cervical spondilitis or peri-artheritis of shoulder.
Ok and take care.
