What Causes Pain In The Adam's Apple After A Facelift Surgery?

I was having a facelift and when I awoke from surgery my adam's apple hurt really bad. It did stop hurting, but I experienced the same pain 2 yrs later along with jaw pain. It hurt without swallowing. Is this related to a clogged artery or is this something separate? The adam's apple pain doesn't last over a few minutes.

Respected Sir, hi I evalauted your query thoroughly.
Facelift surgery perse is not going to cause pain in Adam`s apple but reason is --- stress related acid reflux in which stomach acid irritates lining of esophagus
and causes swelling in that portion which lies at the back of Adam`s apple.
Talking about pain after 2 yrs along with jaw pain relates to any inflammatory reaction following bacterial contamination of throat.
