Doctor prescribed levaquin 500 mg for 14 days po. He also prescribed asteroid 40 mg p.o. for 5 days. I am 79. On the 9th day I started having severe pain from shoulder to elbow . It was so debilitating that I needed assistance with adds. When he said call if I had any side effects I was looking for rash,vomiting and diarrhea. Then the pharmacist told me these could be a problem. I went back to the me and told him about this pain . He just smiled and told me th a t was odd because most people got in in their lower extremities.Then told me to make an appt in six months. I understand this med causes damage. I am still in pain 7 months later. Is there anything I can do for this. I m really miserable.
