General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of a shoulder surgery for which you took hydrocodone and acetaminophen 10+325 and Norco, You got constipated and there is back pain on the right side.
You are taking Miralax with little bowel movements and no bleeding in stool, wants help.
Your history is indicative of constipation as a side effect of taking the pain medication particularly hydrocodone. But there must be additional factors like change in diet, less sleep and less fibers or so on .
I would advise you the following:
Get the stool test done.
X-ray of the abdomen to see for fecolith impaction or so.
Continue Miralax in proper dosages to be adjusted to suit your requirements.
Increase fiber contents of food in the form of green leafy vegetables and avoid the foods and beverages that you know cause constipation in your case.
If required take an enema and continue the measures that help you the most.
If possible stop taking medicines containing Hydrocodone.
I find this answer helpful
