What Causes Pain In The Chest, Left Arm And Neck After Exercising?

Hello, my wife is having chest pains. She is 43 years old and in very good health. She exercised with weights and did some kick boxing today. She is also having pain in her left arm and her neck. I am wondering if this is exercise related or something else?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If the pain is worse by pressing on the chest wall or movements that affect these muscles then it is likely due to inflammation of the muscles or bones in the chest.

If that is the case, the use of anti inflammatory pain medication would be helpful eg naproxen, cataflam, ibuprofen.

If there is no tenderness/pain on pressing then she should be assessed to rule other causes.
Heart or lung causes are usually ruled out first.

This would require an ECG, chest x ray and blood tests.

I hope this helps
