What Causes Pain In The Ear After A Fall?

my 5 yr.old daughter fell and hit the side of her head about 4 days ago, has been complaining that her ear hurts once a day but usually after she sleeps. I assumed it was bruised and she may be sleeping on it? Today she woke up from her nap crying from the pain, any suggestions?

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The pain in the ear can be because of the impact secondary to trauma. The other possible cause can be because of the fractured bone. Nothing to be panic, consult an oral physician and get it evaluated. Mean while you can take a course of analgesic like diclofenac(if you are not allergic). You need to get a radiograph like orthopantomograph to confirm the diagnosis.
I hope I have answered your query, take care.
