I am so sorry to hear about this pain. The description of your symptoms make it sound like a nerve related pain. Do you wear high boots shoes? Have you ever had a trauma to this knee? I will recommend that you stop provoking this pain and should it become spontaneous, get it evaluated by your doctor. In any case, it looks like a benign conditions as you have not reported any other symptoms of a possible infection or inflammation but for your manual provocation of this pain.
I hope this helps. I wish you well.
