What Causes Pain In The Laryngeal Prominence While Swallowing Food?

Hi when I swallow my neck hurts. NOT MY TONSILS. More around the adams apple and lower. Glands are a bit swollen. Any ideas? Just a virus? There is so much stuff flying around the office, I keep just think I am getting something. But this has been for a week and half. Throat gets a bit scratchy and sinuses feel stuffed in the morning but then once I am moving it seems to go away....but not the neck part

sounds like thyroid gland enlargement.
it could be just viral inflammation of gland or could be more of a chronic thing going on in there.
if the symptoms do not go away in another 1-2 weeks you should see an endocrinologist to rule out any Thyroid gland infection or dysfunction going on and needs appropriate treatment care and management.
