What Causes Pain In The Left Breast And Pain In The Upper Abdomen?

My wife is experiencing local pain in her upper torso under her left breast. She has been losing weight due to not being able to keep anything in her stomach. She had her gall bladder out in January and has continued to have pains in her abdomen in the upper left side.
