What Causes Pain In The Neck And Shoulder After Stretching The Neck?
i was stretching my neck and suddenly i had a painful sensation shoot down the left side of my neck and left shoulder. Now i have a round bump in my shoulder just as it connects to the arm. The bump is not visible, but is clear when touching my shoulder.

I think you may have injured your neck ligaments during the excessive and sudden stretching.
You should have done the movement gradually worming up the muscles. The only treatment is physiotherapy. You may need a month to get better and three months to heal completely.
