Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi there. I have been having neck, arm, ear, and stomach pain along with diarrhea that has lasted for over a month now. I also wake up in the middle of the night with severe stomach pain and my body from my head to my torso is so hot like I have a fever. Last night I was so exhausted I could barely get out of bed and my ear felt like it was full of water and it hurt really badly. I cannot tell if this is anxiety related or something more serious. Should I go see someone or wait it out?
Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to a chronic infection or a metabolic disorder. For this reason, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam and some tests:
- A resting ECG and cardiac ultrasound.
- A chest X-ray study.
- Complete blood count, PCR, ESR for inflammation.
- Amylase and lipase for possible pancreatitis.
- Kidney and liver function tests.
Further tests may be needed. You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka,
Cardiologist
