What Causes Pain In The Neck Radiating Down Towards The Shoulder Blade?
My husband has had aggravating pain at the base of his neck for over a week, pain now radiating down and around his left shoulder blade, under arm to his chest area...was treated 5 days ago with flexeril and prednisone...not working! Any idea what may be going on? and I am unable to pay for this question...
hi mam, symptoms seem to be due to cervical spondylosis or ddd(disc degeneration disease).the best diagnostic tool is MRI spine.as an aneasthesiologist,i treated many patients with excruciating pain with the help of facet joint block.it is a procedure done under fluoroscopic or ct guidance by an experienced anesthesiologist.local anaesthetic with or without long acting corticosteroid is injected into the vertebral facet joints where the pain is maximum in neck.it is very effective and long lasting relief occurs.i feel it is the ideal intervention for your husband now.so kindly go for an anaesthesiologist or pain specialst.until you take the consultation, tab.aceclofenac with chlorzoxazone can be take twice daily after food.hope my answer is clear.any further queries, please write to us.i'm always ready to deal with your concerns.thank you.take care.bye.
