Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I have been feeling pain in the right side of throat when I was yawning for almost few weeks, I thought maybe I have pulled a muscle. Now I feel pain even when I am swallowing, i don t have any fever or any other symptom, i was wondering if it might be infection.
Understanding your concern. As per query you have symptoms of pain in the neck while stretching which seems to be due to stiffness of muscles and it could be due to chronic changes leading to spondylosis. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to start with Diclofenac/ibuprofen which can be effective, if pain is severe so sometimes tramadol can be taken. Pain relief may take few days to weeks. You have to take care of posture and do physical therapy exercises as well. Rest to cervical spine is most important till pain is reduced and completely relieved. You should use cervical collar to prevent unguarded movements. If symptoms keeps on persisting , visit orthopaedician once and get complete examination done. Start treatment after complete examination.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
