What Causes Pain In The Right Rib Cage While Having Acid Reflux?
I suffer from acid reflux, usually when I eat too much or sometimes when I eat certain combinations of foods together. Earlier today I felt it coming on and as the day went on the pain worsened. I am now feeling severe burning pain in my right ribcage that I have not felt before. Usually when I recline and relax and go to sleep the pain goes away. Tonight the pain is not going away and has moved from my stomach to my right ribcage area. Does this sound like it could be my gallbladder?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain in the right rib cage while having acid reflux. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist once for proper examination. Doctor may order endoscopy , ambulatory acid test and x-ray of upper digestive tract . Doctor may prescribe H2 blockers and proton pump inhibitor . For now avoid spicy and heavy food especially at night , eat one hour before going to bed. You should eat small and frequent meal and take light walk after every meal .
