What Causes Pain In The Right Side Of The Stomach?

Hi...have been having pain on the right side around stomach and rib cage and sometimes down the right side. Am thinking it maybe it is a gas bubble. Had my gallbladder out in 2006. I ve been doing weight watchers and have increased the amount of vegetables and fruit I eat considerably plus have been power walking about 3mi every other day. I ate some pecans earlier today and within a couple hours started having the pain. I do have a hiaetal (sp) hernia. Also had a diet coke earlier today. Think it is just gas. This has happened several times within the past couple weeks.
