What Causes Pain In The Testicles?

Every now and then I have a pain in my left testice. It happens every 3-10 days. The first time It happened was right after sex and it hurt for a bit, but now the pain isn't real bad when I feel it but I still feel a little pain once in awhile. What do you think this means?
