What Causes Pain In The Throat While Talking And Swallowing?
Hello, my throat has been hurting for about 2 months now. When I open my mouth it looks different (like the uvula and around the uvula). It hurts to swallow and talk. But, even when I'm not talking or swallowing it is still sore. I haven't talked with a doctor yet.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of pain in the throat while talking and swallowing. Well there can be many reason for symptoms you mention in query like poor oral hygiene, sore throat (strep throat or viral infection), pharyngitis , and acid reflux. Need not to worry. You should not sleep immediately after having food. For now eat light meals and avoid spicy and acidic food. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles several times a day , take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and consult ENT specialist for proper examination of the condition . Doctor may order throat swab test , viral culture test and blood test. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics along with decongestant and expectorant. Doctor may also refer you to gastroenterologist if he/she find problem to be related with acid reflux.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
