What Causes Pain In Upper Back And Chest While Swallowing?

Recently I've been experiencing a pain in my upper back/chest when I swallow food or drinks. I've had this pain before, but its only lasted one bite and NEVER more than that. I've had this pain for 2 days now and I have no idea whats wrong, let alone what doctor to go see. HELP?!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello. As you mentioned in the question that you are having this kind of episodes earlier, Its seems the symptoms are related to the esophagus ( the tubular connection from mouth to stomach) any infection or inflamation would cause narrowing in any part of the esophagus would cause the above symptoms.
generally general physician is good to deal with above symptoms, since you had repeatedly, i would recommend a gastroenterologist consultation would help you for further evaluation. Hope it helps you, thank you
