What Causes Pain When Urinating?

Hello,
Today I had a slight pain while peeing - like a sharper burning sensation - though it was only a little pain, it is not normal for me at all. Then tonight I experienced the same symptom again, and when I wiped myself there was a small amount of blood. What's up? A UTI?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It could be a urinary tract infection, or a sexually transmitted disease. I recommend a urinalysis and possible a swap for STD.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
