What Causes Pain While Drawing Blood, Sweating And Blurred Vision?
Hello, Today I had blood taken, routine blood work for a physical exam. Immediately when he put the needle in I feel an extremely sharp pain up my arm to my wrist. I winced but didn't have him remove it out of fear of starting the process over. It burned the entire time. I left and on my way home almost passed out, got extremely sweaty, very blurred vision. This has never happened to me before. After 10 hours I am still having pain in my arm and periodically sharp shooting pains. Is this a nerve that was hit?
While drawing blood , needle must have hit some tendon of the muscle producing pain to the wrist.I t will subside.Nothing serious.Regarding feeling of dizziness after withdrawing blood it may just be vaso vagal phenomenon.
