What Causes Painful And Heavy Menstruation?
for the last two months whenever my period came it would start to be extremely painful and heavy the first day. this isn't unusual for me but formsome reason these past two times, there's been a gooey substance as well. almost solid, sometimes black in colour and often won't have blood on it. what is it?

As a physician I would like to tell you that there are various reasons behind painful and heavy menstruation like Polyp, Endometriosis, Fibroids, and PCOD. So, I would recommend that you should visit a ob/gy doctor as all these conditions need to be evaluated and examined clinically by a MD Ob/gy doctor personally to establish a diagnosis.
