Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have 2 bumps under my arm. I haven t shaved recently so I know they re not razor bumps. One is tiny, painless and barely noticeable. The other is bigger, painful, and a little lighter than my skin color but still brown. I was researching online and freaked myself out when I saw leukemia . I want to know if this is something I should really be concerned about.
It could be either a Lymph node or a localized fat collection (Lipoma). Both are harmless condition and doesn't need to be taken out. A lymph node will reduce in size by itself overtime but a lipoma will not reduce in size but may grow. Also if it is a lymph node there will be some other cause of its enlargement which need to be found. Hence it is necessary to know what it is exactly. In that regard I advise you to get FNAC test of the swelling and revert back with reports.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Iven Romic Rommstein, General Surgeon
