What Causes Painful Bulging Disc In Neck With Dizziness And Blood In Stools?
I have a bulging disc in my neck I was only working 6 hour days . For the past few weeks I started working 8 hour day. I have a lot of pain in my neck and back I feel sick dizzy and now have blood on my stool is this from my bulging disc and what should I do
Hello and welcome to HCM, I assume that the bulging disc in neck is disc protrusion. Disc protrusion can cause compression or impingement of cervical nerves. Compression of cervical nerves can cause pain in the region of distribution of nerves i.e. upper limb. Pain killers and physiotherapy are required to provide relief from pain. Blood in stools is no way related to bulging disc. Blood in stools can occur in case of gastrointestinal tract (GIT) infection, bleeding ulcer in lower GIT, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, etc. A stool examination may be performed to look for evidence of infection. If no infection is found, other causes have to be looked for.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
