What Causes Painful, Dryness, Irritation Feeling Inside Throat?
Hi, Earlier today, after eating lunch, I started having this weird feeling in my throat. At first I thought a piece of food was caught in my throat, though it's not bothering my breathing/swallowing much but it's starting to worry me. Every few minutes I'll swallow and feel this dryness/irritation that's a little painful, almost like when skin starts to peel, but the feeling is from inside my throat. I don't know how else to describe it.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have painful, dryness, irritation feeling inside throat is because of infection of upper respiratory tract leading to granular pharyngitis. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to avoid eating spicy and heavy food. Do warm saline gargles several times a day. You should take ginger ,lemon juice and honey to soothen your throat. Take combination of levocetrizine along with amoxicillin for 3-5 days. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper diagnosis. You should go for blood and sputum test. Milk boiled with a pinch of turmeric taken at bedtime will be helpful for you.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
