What Causes Painful Menstruation After A Pap Smear Test?
Hi! I had a smear test done Tuesday at 2pm, it was done, no pain and no problems but a couple of days later I started to bleed bright red with cramping it has got steadily worse and now is like a very heavy period with pain but I m not due on for another two weeks. The nurse said I may experience some spotting but THIS is not spotting! What should I do? Thank u Sorry I didn t know I would have to pay for answer and I don t have any money that I don t need for my children! Sorry to waste your time
dear, pap smear is taken by scrapping the endometrial wall and the material is taken for histo pathology, now comes the problem...since spotting is very much common after pap smear ...some times bleeding may be heavy due to deep scrapping or injury to endometrial vessels,,,,i will recommend that if bleeding do not subside u must visit ur gynecologist at the earliest. thank you.
