i get really small blisters like a pimples on my knees, they continue to grow and fill up with a bloody puss and are extremely painful. they sometimes last for a month or two before they go away and then a new one forms. they scab over but sometimes get almost black around the scab.

Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like seborrheic keratosis, acne, allergic eczema, psoriasis or boils. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to apply cold compresses to the rashes , take benadryl twice a day. You should take anti inflammatory and prevent it from sun exposure . If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may order blood test , skin allergy test or physical examination . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like clindamycin , immunosuppression and vitamin supplement for quick healing.
