What Causes Painful Swollen Bruise On Thigh Post Injury?
Hello, I ran my thigh into the corner of a pull out shelf two nights ago and it swelled up really bad instantly and to day the bruising is massive with swelling and an area so sinsitive to touch it almost brings me to tears. Should I be worried about this?

Hello,
It is quite common after an injury and is due to collection of blood underneath the skin following a trauma.
In most cases it will settle by itself without any complications.
You can apply warm compression for symptomatic relief.
If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated. An ultrasound scan is required for further evaluation.
