What Causes Painful Urination Along With High Fever?

Hi there, My boyfriend and I are trying to figure out what he may have and what we should do. He has pain when urinating, a 102 Fever and body aches and swollen lymph nodes in his neck, but not a sore throat. We got over the counter UTI treatment but it doesn t appear to be helping. Advil didn t affect his fever much. He has been having symptoms for about 34 hours now. He has no health insurance :(

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely urinary tract infection. Urine routine examination as well as culture and sensitivity test will be helpful to rule out this. I would suggest antibiotics like norfloxacin empirically and change if needed after culture report.
Thanks.
I find this answer helpful
