What Causes Painless Pulsating Sensation In Ear?

Hi!
Last night I started hearing my pulse in my left ear... I was in bed so i got up and still, the same noise was there. It's a continuous pulsating sensation, painless though. I am recovering from a viral infection (cold) with episodes of dry cough (1 or 2, isolated during the day) and still have the (viral?) rash mainly on my tummy and my legs.... I really don't think it's related to this as my sinuses are clear and I didn't think this cold has affected my ears at all. There's one thing that I've changed recently: 2 days ago I started taking Gingko Biloba (only 60 mg per day , my weight is 112lb.though..) in a desperate attempt to alleviate my extreme fatigue , since I've got the cold. I've been also on a 10 mg Cipralex (daily) for the last few months for gen. anxiety/ depression?! Thanks very much for your time!
