What Causes Palpitation At The Base Of The Throat?
I have a palpitation on the base of my throat, the hollow part of the neck, which I usually experience during rest. I don t know if this is actually on the throat part or really a palpitation of the heart. My ECG is abnormal (with arrhythmia), and I was advised to undergo repeat ECG and 2D echo. My cholesterol levels are normal. How can this be?

It can occur especially with anxiety, I would also recommend a repeat ECG, and check to see if the arrhythmia requires any specific treatment. But can you relate the palpitation to stress, physical activity, anxiety, etc.? If yes, discuss this with your doctor.
