What Causes Palpitations, Wheezing And Cough Post A Choking Experience?
I had a severe choking experience this evening on liquid; I could barely breath for about 2 minutes as the liquid expelled from my nose and mouth. After gaining my breath back, I had the expected cough; but that was all. About 2 hours later, I m shaking uncontrollably from freezing, so I went home and took a hot shower. Still freezing after that, I laid under 2 comforters and a heating blanket. Now I m too hot. I m also experience palpitations, wheezing and coughing. Can you help me figure out what I ve done?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of palpitations, wheezing and cough post a choking which seems to be due to severe upper respiratory tract infection. you may have lung infection , allergic reaction condition like asthma or bronchitis. Avoid cold carbonated beverages. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles with pinch of salt water. Take expectorants. Steam inhalation is very effective for you. Consult ENT specialist without any delay. Doctor may order blood test , throat swab test or may take history. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics amoxicillin or penicillin at least for 10 days along with decongestants and mucolytic agents.
