Hello,
Treatment of panic attacks should be associated with
psychotherapy (
behavioral therapy) and lifestyle changes for better control of the symptoms.
I would advise you to regularly follow up with the doctor that is giving you the medications for panic attacks so he can identify the medication and the dose needed in your case. You may need to check your
thyroid (TSH test) to make sure it is not your thyroid causing you to have it difficult to control stress and
anxiety.
Also, combining these with psychotherapy is advisable. So, you will need to find a psychotherapist and have regular sessions for some time.
Meanwhile, try to avoid caffeine, alcohol,
smoking, recreational drugs, try to be active with activities you enjoy but do not overload yourself. Make sure you do have a healthy diet and rest enough.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
