What Causes Persistent Cough And Nasel Drainage With Headache And Fever?
Hi I had a persistent cough and terrible nasel drainage for 6 weeks now. When it first started I had a terrible headache and a lot of mucus and a fever. My doctor prescribed a strong antibiotic for a sinus infection. It seemed to get better but I still have a cough and drainage. When I go outside into the cold I start coughing and when I go back in I have to blow my nose. What do you think this could be?
Hello The symptoms mentioned by you indicate chronic sinusitis because of which you are having persistent cough ,nasal drainage following headache and fever. This is because of chronic sinusitis and the treatment of the condition is by using decongestant drugs, mucolytics and appropriate antibiotics. Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for prescription of drugs.
Thank you
