What Causes Persistent Diarrhea And Vomiting In An Infant?

My 15 month old has had flu like symptoms since Saturday night; he was vomiting every half an hour through the night, threw up 4-5 times Sunday, and has thrown up very curdled milk 3 times today. His diarrhea started today, and he s gone 5 times. His cheeks are also super red, but has no fever? Is this something we need to go to the hospital for?
