What Causes Persistent Diarrhea?
Hi,
I have been excessively tired everyday. I can't seem to stay awake for more than 12 hours. I have also always struggled with bowel movements. When I was a child, I was always constipated, and now its the opposite. I was told once it was Irritable bowel syndrome once, and that it was anxiety related another time. I have been wondering about celiac's disease and if it could be the cause of both or if it is something else. This has been a problem that has lasted years but it wasn't until recently that I decided to get it checked out. I really don't want to restrict my diet unless I HAVE to because I just don't live a lifestyle where I can cook regular meals all the time and afford specialty foods and whatnot. How do I find out? Is there a test for this?

As per the detailed description, the issue is from some sort of inflammatory bowel condition altering the gut flora mechanics. In our clinic, we recommend lab tests, ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis with colonoscopy to find the pathology and manage accordingly.
