What Causes Persistent Dry Cough?
I have a persistent dry cough especially when talking on the phone or in general. Also seems to be triggered by dust. No fever, rarely cold symptoms.Reminds me somewhat of cough I had with lisopril meds years ago, but I take nothing similar..I understand pneumonia can cause a persistent cough but mucus is light colored Thoughts?

Yes dry cough can be cause by pneumonia mostly viral/ mass in the lungs, allergic condition.
Before any treatment few tests are important.
1. Full haemogram rule out bacterial infection
2.Chest x Ray
Testament
Anti cough syrup
Antibiotic
Anti Allergens
If no improvement and depending on results then consult chest specialist for more information
