What Causes Persistent Fever Along With Stiffness In Neck Of A Child?

Child has had high eos blood count fevers of 104 and can t be broke stiff sore neck that hurts him to move and this has been going one since December had all these symptoms and this is the fourth time sick for weeks at a time all I am told is virus give antibiotic and when medic wears off all symptoms reactor what should I do or what could this be

Fever with stiff neck suggests either a Throat infection ( which would have got cured with proper antibiotic ) or it could be Meningitis.

Meningitis is the infection of covering of brain. This can become serious if not treated properly as the infection can spread to brain.

I advise two tests for him.

1. Throat swab Culture sensitivity.
2. CSF Analysis.

Kindly consult your doctor and discuss about these issues and ask for the following tests.
