What Causes Persistent Mild Fever Along With Acid Reflux?

Hi, I have had a low grade fever 99 - 100 with aches and pain for 3 days with no other symptoms but acid stomach more than usual along with gas. I felt a swelling in my armpit 2 weeks ago so I went to my GYN last week and had a pap and mammogram both which were normal. I just don t feel right and the moment my Advil wears off I feel awful and the fever returns. What could be wrong?

Hi,

Blood tests CBC, ESR, (if lymph node swollen then path exam) are needed. Take tab Tylenol, tab Natalins Rx single for a week, drink coconut water on a regular basis, more fluids, tab Pantocid empty stomach, alka seltzer (dissolve 2 tabs in water and drink solution 4 hourly): symptomatic only 2 times a day. Blood tests will tell viral or bacterial, and the need of antibiotics (eat healthy food amla, aloe vera, basil and ginger, fresh fruits, juices, steamed vegetables). Learn breathing exercise to strengthen immunity.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

General & Family Physician Dr. Priyanka's  Response
Hi,

There could be several reasons for having a persistent mild fever and acid reflux. Some possibilities include the following:
* Infections such as viral, bacterial, or fungal infections
* Inflammatory conditions such as pneumonia or an inflammatory bowel disease
* Endocrine disorders like thyroiditis
* Certain medications can also cause low-grade fevers

It is best to consult a healthcare provider for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment. They will likely take a detailed medical history, conduct a physical examination, and conduct additional tests such as blood tests, chest X-rays, or imaging studies to determine the underlying cause.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
