What Causes Persistent Pain In The Middle Of My Chest?

It has been hurting in the middle of my chest towards my left all day, might be my heart. I have no history of heart problems, but it s not the first time it happens. it hurts breathing or not, it stops for a bit then continues throughout the day. Twice my left arm had hurt intensively, but not together with the chest pain. Twice ice-skying it hurt in the same spot as well, again, not the first time, i have not payed a visit to my doctor in a long time, about almost two years....i never felt the need to, school and work keep me busy. What does this mean?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I passed carefully through your question and would explain that it is important performing some tests in order to investigate for the possible causes underlying your complaints:
- a resting ECG
- an exercise cardiac stress test
- complete blood count, PCR, ESR for inflammation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka,
