What Causes Persistent Rectal Bleeding Along With Severe Pain?
I have been dealing with rectal bleeding off and on four four years now. its too the point that when i go to the bathroom sometimes i bleed and sometimes i dont . but when i do its painful, and its light or dark red blood color and i do hemmorage . have since i was a kid just didnt think anything of it . when i do bleed though most of the time i do have to wear a pad because i bleed like up two days and i have bad abdominal pain . exercise isnt even a good idea because it tears my stomache up and i have to run to the bathroom. i get a urge to go and it has just been diaherrea and blood or just blood before. im wondering if it could be my mirena{ birth control} or something serious ?

hello there, painful rectal bleeding may be due to fissure or fistula , and requires an examination. also get examine the position of mirena. fissure or fistula may require a surgery. mean while take stool softener. regards Dr Suyash
