What Causes Persistent Sacroiliac Joint Pain Despite Taking Medication?
I was told that I strained my sacroiliac ligament and was given a muscle relaxer and steroid. Well there is still severe pain in my hip but only when I walk. There is numbness in my foot and toes and the medication has had no effect. Is it possible to have a joint dislocation or something similar in my hip? The doctor didn t even mention an x-ray or MRI.

There is a possibility of a dislocation. It can be excluded only through an X-ray of the joint. So, I suggest to do an X-ray of the sacroiliac joint. Meanwhile, I suggest to continue using anti inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen for the pain. I also suggest to maintain the area immobilized.
