What Causes Persistent Sinusitis Along With Facial Tightness And Headaches?
Hi I have had sinus for 3 months and had a number of anti biotics I occasionally get a headache or ear ache and always feel sort of pressure and tightness of my face. I was diagnosed with anaemia and have recently stressed a lot ffrom losing my dog. I have found a lump in the middle of my head near the top at the back, should I be worried?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have persistent sinusitis along with facial tightness and headaches. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to certain reasons , but in your case the symptoms are probably occurring due to sinusitis that too due to viral infection . Facial tightness can also be caused by condition like bell's palsy .I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist without any delay before infection get spread into eustachian tube . Doctor may order CT scan , throat swab test along with viral culture test . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like amoxicillin , penicillin along with decongestant and expectorant . For now take steam several times a day , take paracetamol and do warm saline gargles .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
