Hi, - It seems you need to get sputum culture & sensitivity test so as to get exact antibiotic effective for the infection you have. You need to take antibiotic for complete irradiation infection. -Allergy is mostly the cause of constant irritation of respiratory tract. You need to pin point the allergens causing the problem & avoid exposure to them. Allergy screening test is done for this Which may be followed by desensitization treatment. Please consult a chest physician for specific treatment & management. He may add anti allergic pills with histamin blockers (like montelukast or bangude pills as per need) Avoiding allergens & common cold, having a healthy life style with respiratory exercises, drinking warm water, doing preventive saline gargles forms self care.
