What Causes Persistent Tingling Sensation In The Right Hand?
Hi.....I have been experiencing a constant tingling In my right hand. sometimes, it is hard for me to write or respond to a simple text message. The tingling has been ongoing for the past 2 weeks. I am 53 years old with a few health issues. I have sarcoidosis in my right lung and right eyelid, along with fibromyalgia. I am concerned with the tingling sensation. Should I be concerned ?
It is not an alarming symptom but I advise you to check it out. Since you have sarcoidosis, if it affects the upper lobe of your lung, you could have tingling of your right hand or even arm. It could be due to slight compression of some of the nerves going to your hands. These nerves maybe be compressed by a diseased lung. If you have similar symptoms in both hands or feet also, it could be more in favor of peripheral neuropathy. If the symptoms worsen, you should get it checked out. If I was your treating doctor, I would investigate primarily using a Chest Xray and if doubtful go for a Chest CT scan. Hope this was of help to you. Take care and good day.
