What Causes Persistent Yeast Infections In Vagina?

hi...i had unprotected over 3 months ago...and have a persistent chronic yeast infection...i have tried flagyl, canesten, and monistat with no relief...i also had gotten a pap test which came back abnormal with precanerous cells and a lesion...i had got tested 3 times for stds and recently HIV screening which all came back negative...the yeast infection will not go away and i do not know what else to try or what else could be causing my problem..please help!

You may want to consider a swab of the discharge to identify the specific type of fungi present and determine what antibiotics would work best.

You may also want to screen for conditions that may affect your immune system and prevent healing such as diabetes , autoimmune disease.

Oral antifungals such as fluconazole or itraconazole may also help.
