What Causes Petit Mal Seizures?
Is there a Epilepsy called Petimal seizures? I m thinking this was the type of Epilepsy my Brothers little girls got. I m thinking the granma seizures is the worse of the 2??? My great grandson was born with Down syndrome and trying to give info on my side of the family to help my Grand Daughter knowing family history.

Yes! You are right. A grand mal seizure is a generalized tonic-clonic seizure, which is more dangerous than petit mal seizure.
Petit mal seizure is a type of focal seizure so you can find definite cause of it. Whereas in the case of grand mal, it's hard to tell what causes this seizure.
