What Causes Pins And Needles In Arm Along With Squeezing Sensation In Muscles?

Pins and needles down right arm and squeezing sensation in muscle, taking gabipentin for one week now but still not working.i am doing exercise to keep moving. Had it for 2months and it all started after a boxing session hit a punch bag, but didn t notice till I was home and couldn t move shoulder

Hi,

My thoughts are that two months is a long time to suffer without relief with Gabapentin. The sudden spasm of muscles in neck, around shoulder and additional nerve stretching or pinching might have cause all the symptoms. I would advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon and physiotherapist for clinical evaluation. MRI of cervical spine or / and shoulder to get deep insight as would be suggested. Continue Gabapentin. Additional treatment as per the causes found. Till then put your affected upper limb in a sling for rest. Go for a specific treatment as per the cause found which is the basis of each case.
